Franz Esterbauer

I'm a self confessed car enthusiast. From an early age motorsport has been a strong and true passion. It was when I purchased a twin turbo Nissan 300ZX that I realised competing, rather than spectating and taking photos, is a whole lot more fun. Starting in motorkhanas, I quickly discovered a talent and have continually tried to improve my skills.

I have competed in many different disciplines including sprints, motorkhanas, autokhanas, hillclimbs, rally sprints, circuit racing, time attack and tarmac rally and enjoy the challenge of driving something new!

My experience and knowledge have led me to become a Performance Driving Instructor for MC Motorsport at the RAC Driving Centre, Chase/Camera car driver at the WA Drift Series and Course Car driver for Targa South West and Quit Targa West.
In addition I instruct at club track days for multiple car clubs.

Away from the race track, professionally I am employed as a Senior Engineer. For leisure and fitness I like to cycle (road and MTB).
